If you are learning to groom from our Reality Pet Grooming Home Study DVD Series© then you will need some of the proper tools to make the job easier! It is important to use the proper equipment AND take proper care of it so its last longer.

The life of a scissor depends on how you protect them. Do NOT let your scissors hit the floor. Once they do, you will need to call a sharpener who knows what he is doing to realign and rebalance them for you.

It gets expensive when you start replacing blades and scissors because you dropped them or they got kicked out of your hand and hit the concrete, you will learn to protect your tools.

Sharpeners can usually fix the shear but its never quite like it was when it was new, so make that new last as long as possible!

We've put together a complete equipment kit for you with everything you need to get started. These are all good, solid brand names that are necessary to learning to do this the correct way the first time.
